I believe my college experiences of implementing CAD into many peoples’ lives with various occupations increased my belief & confidence in CAD for the future. Instead, I completed my industrial design degree and began researching the various job fields that require the utmost CAD support. Other students’ majors were requiring more use of CAD than my own however, I was not discouraged. Being able to assist my fellow students, I soon found out that the field of industrial design entailed less CAD use than I had hoped. While attending Purdue, I tutored fellow students of various majors who sought assistance with 2D/3D CAD software. Immediately after attaining my CAD certification from high school I attended Purdue University where I graduated with an Associate’s degree in Industrial Design. I believe my CAD instructor played an important role in this accomplishment not solely for the fact of them being a Purdue University Alumni but also for them being extremely patient and attentive with students. After years of using CAD software, I was informed by the high school: walker career center that I had acquired my CAD certification at 17 years old. I ventured into high school with a newfound interest in computer-aided drafting. After years of practicing via pen, pencil, paints & etc. With that being said, my interests enlightened me to explore multiple mediums and techniques that could be combined in various ways to form unique art & designs. In my opinion, in order for something to be created, a thoughtful layout must be constructed somewhere and that somewhere is within the mind. As a child, I was always fascinated by the aesthetic design of everything. I have had interests solely in art & design for the past 25 years now. As a letter to my potential students, I would like to introduce myself as Leroy.
